Vinous Neal Martin - 12 Dec 23
The 2019 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru has a slightly reductive nose. However, it works in its favor, maintaining delineation and mineralité, perhaps just slightly more alcohol presence than other En Remilly wines. The palate does not quite deliver the complexity of the nose. It shows citrus peel, orange rind, touches of quince jus and marmalade but just misses the same level of terroir expression as its peers on the finish. Still, this is a fine En Remilly, just not the best in show. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
